Ms. Mingo joined Brown and Heller, PA. (formerly known as Gilbride, Heller & Brown, P.A.) in March of 1986 as an associate legal secretary. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to the position of legal assistant to senior partner Lewis N. Brown. Since 1987, she has been responsible for assisting him in all phases of his litigation practice, including pre-trial preparation, document management and client contacts. Almost 25 years later, she still serves as executive legal assistant to Mr. Brown.
In March of 1999, Ms. Mingo's organizational and managerial skills were recognized by the managing partners of the firm, and she was given the opportunity to serve as Assistant Legal Administrator. One year later, Ms. Mingo became the firm's Legal Administrator/Office Manager, and is responsible for overall office administration, human resources issues including paralegal and support staffing, recruiting and placement, information systems management, space planning, office renovation and expansion, legal marketing, and public relations. In March 2011, Ms. Mingo was named the firm's Director of Administration.
Ms. Mingo is currently a member of the International Association of Legal Administrators, as well as the South Florida Chapter Association of Legal Administrators, and is a registered paralegal in the State of Florida. She has also been a Notary Public for the State of Florida for the past 24 years, and is still a member in good standing.
